Family Pictures

Saturday, before heading to sushi for dinner, we stopped and took a couple family pictures. It has been so great to have Amy here capturing all of Stephanie's changes and to shoot family pictures for us.

Stephanie is doing great - sleeping most of the night waking to eat once. She is losing her newborn cry, which makes the momma sad, but excited for each new stage as well. The dad is sleeping well too, adjusted to the interruption each night by already sleeping through it :) good for the work day!

Doing well!

Right now I sit on our living room couch with the two loves of my life napping on me :^) Life is good!
I am feeling great and was out and about within the first week of Stephanie's arrival. But just to make sure my mother knows I am not overdoing it, I have been taking each day in baby steps, stopping when I get tired and taking plenty of time to rest. Steve has jumped right into fatherhood with both feet and of course is amazing at it - as I said he would be.
Amy arrived here on island three hours after Stephanie's arrival and is a godsend. Just having one extra set of hands to pass Stephanie off to is more help then I could've imagined needed. That doesn't even begin to take into account everything else she does to help me! We are also enjoying having so much time to spend together relaxing and doing things around the island. Here soon we will finally be getting out to site see again.
Today is a beautiful, warm, clear fall day. We are heading out soon to take some family pictures (thanks to Amy and her wonderful photography skills) and finally get her some sushi (yes, she has gone over two weeks of being here without getting any sushi :^(
As soon as we have more pictures I will post them. You can also check out some updated pictures of Stephanie on Facebook in Amy's album.
