In other news, Steve is taking his Advanced Scuba class this week. Scuba Diving has become one of his all time favorite things to do. It is nice we will still be close to water so he can continue this activity, but it won't be quite as spectacular as it is here in the tropics. I am looking forward to his birthday coming up - although we will be spending the day in our labor and delivery class. I am looking forward to the fact that we will be spending the day together though, otherwise we would both be working.

It's still hot...
When one is still putting up a sun shade in the car windshield halfway through September, you know it is still hot! The air condition in our room is set to 66 degrees and I sleep without covers. In the beginning of this pregnancy I froze. I kept wondering when the heat thing would kick in - well it's here. This is one summer there hasn't been a battle between me and Steve over how cold the apartment should be. I am the one needing to turn it down even more instead of the one rolling up in a blanket. Many ask me how I am making it through the summer here being pregnant, my response "I stay inside." And truly, that is pretty much what I have done. If I have been out it has been on a boat with a very nice breeze blowing.

Long week for only being four days...
It has been a long week, actually a long last several weeks. About three weeks ago Steve and I both came down with really bad head and chest colds, you know those bad ones that seem to linger on and on. Everyday we thought we would start to feel significantly better then the day before, but not so much. It was a very slow recovery - still not sure if we're fully over it. To top it all off this past Tuesday I was down with some type of stomach virus all day. It hit Steve today. So tonight, instead of heading out for dinner and a movie we are spending the evening in. Tomorrow we are scheduled to attend our labor and delivery class. Not sure what to expect, just planning on a long day.
School started up again last week. Oh the joys and daily challenges it brings along. Teachers, parents, students - oh the stories I will forever be able to tell. Daily laughter with my co-workers keeps us sane - especially when dealing with grown adults that act worse then the students they are suppose to be teaching :^)
On a much happier and less stressful note, last week five amazing friends threw a baby shower for me and Stephanie. It was beautiful and fun. When I get some pictures I will post them. They did a garden theme in honor of my love of gardening. Stephanie will be well outfitted for her first year or so. I think I will have to change her outfit about five times a day in order for her to wear everything. LOTS OF PINK, to say the least :^)
More Pictures
Here are a few more pictures from my photo shoot last week. I think I am growing daily so am even bigger then I was then. I still feel really good, with no major complaints. People keep asking if I am at the point of just being ready for her to come. I am really just enjoying the last few weeks of the convenience of not having to stop to feed, dress, change and all the other wonderful things that will come along with Stephanie's arrival. For Steve, on the other hand, Stephanie's arrival can't come soon enough. Yeah, she already has him wrapped around her little pinky finger. She is going to be an all out daddy's girl for sure.

Maternity Photos
I am not one of those who is good at taking pictures for every happening of life. Truthfully, I have disappointed myself in my lack of picture taking over the last three years. A few times I have thought about getting professional pictures done of me and Steve, since our last ones were at our wedding. In the end we do a quick "timed shoot" with our own camera at home.Several years ago I saw a maternity picture I loved. Didn't know the girl in the photo but it left an impression that stuck with me. Throughout this pregnancy I have gone back and forth on getting professional maternity pictures. I kept thinking how dorky it is to go have an individual photo shoot. But the idea kept nagging at me and I was afraid I would regret not doing it in the end. So I took the plunge and here are two of the ones I liked that the photographer e-mailed me. I should have a whole CD of them in a few days and will post my favorites then as well.
Time for a new Blog
I have been tired of using xanga for quite awhile now. I don't find the site very user friendly and the last straw has been all the advertisement for a new raunchy online game. So now that I can use blogger with English (originally it wouldn't let me switch languages) I am taking the leap over. Yay! I am excited to finally join all my blogspot friends :^)
